Since the short throw shifter is on back order, I thought that I would come up with a solution that is easy to install. This has been tested with other drivers and everyone feels that the lower profile shifter ball positioning works very nicely!

Would any of you buy one?

Thanks,

Jay

I like how you hid the nut.

Yes, another few percent!

Yes, removing the nut alone buys you a few percent all by itself!

I installed the stock setup and it's no comparison, the new setup stays!

Just to be stupid, does it have a shift pattern on it? I was hoping for the nuclear light!

You know, if I had the nuclear reactor light, I might consider driving to Detroit in the dark in August.

Not to step on your toes Jay but I can answer this one.
Yes, this does have the shift pattern engraved in it.
Realize this is an OEM part that has just been modified.

Yes, it is a stock Ford GT ball that has been redesigned with an internal locking screw. You keep your original ball and nut in case you desire to put the car back to stock.

I'm working on the light, it's just hard to work 10+ hours/day with my main job. If I had it my way, I would be working on Ford GT products ONLY!

Thanks,
Jay

Hello abolfaz,

The low-profile shifting ball, will be delivered with a wrench for unlocking the existing nut. A supplied metric hex wrench will be used to adjust the "clocking" of the ball's shift pattern. It should be quick and easy to install, less than five minutes. I am very pleased with mine. The center console does NOT have to be touched. There are also no visible holes or fasteners. It should be ready to ship sometime towards the end of next week.

Price will be around $229.00, since there's some precision machining involved.

Thanks for your question,

Jay

Yeah, really, we would look like a bunch of bees returning to the hive at night, bobbing and weaving over the interstate system. Hopefully in different colors. C'mon Jay, help us out here.

Also, since I don't want to do any performance mods to my car, or race it, this will ease my ego a little bit having a "high performance internal engine compartment" lighting system.
