Looking for broken gauges

Have any of you repaired or attempted to repair the gauges? If so let me know because I may be wasting my time if its already been perfected. I could really use a gauge that has already been taken apart and not worth rebuilding, I'm working on tooling to remove the silver metal ring around the face and then a tool to press it back on but could really use a already damaged gauge.

The main objective is to repair just the gauge so they can be reinstalled. I don't think anyone has had a conclusion yet why the car itself is wiping out the gauges?
I have two already in hand along with my own Tachometer to be repaired I was hoping a forum member had one that they pulled apart with a screwdriver assuming it was going in the can, that would help out on trial test for removing the pressed on ring.
Again someone may be way ahead of me on this so please let me know.
