Another option

Time to add another vehicle to the stable. Looking for a daily driver that I wont feel bad about if I drive it in the rain. Looking to spend around 75-85k max.

Resale is not the object..fun driver, comfortable, good performance...

I have considered a vette, viper or 911...

Ideas? Comments? Experience's???

Given that you mention driving in the rain, I'd suggest a Carrera 4S. Less power than the Z06, but daily-driver-worthy like the Chevy. Back seat makes for great storage - in addition to the um, trunk. Best all weather fun car around. I have a 2005 Carrera (2) S and it's a very nice thing. But I don't drive it in weather.
FWIW, after having driven the Cayman, though a bit off on power versus the 2S/4S, it's a better drive. But you want all-weather, so the 4wd Carrera is handy. A 2005/2006 is like in price range.

Noble, E60 M5, M6, E55, 05 CL65 & S65 (bargains of the autoworld), S550, S8, GT500, LS460, SLK55, CLS63, and the list goes on and on.

1972 911 S

Sound investment, iconic status, positive image, driver involvement. A no brainer if you do not need another 600hp car you can't use on the road....

Vette
