Great time driving with Jim and his stunning no stripe blue GT. Loaded it in the car hauler and took it up the mountain for winter. It will be in pieces soon getting ready for some new stuff for 2014 :biggrin

Thanks for the videos. That was a fun way to salvage a perfect fall day without the canyons open. I hope they don't time stamp the tolls to calculate average speed, but haven't seen anything in the mail yet (I'd be surprised if your plate shows up at the camera tolls). Let's hope for fresh asphalt in the canyons come summer.

Hi guys. our fun drive is down for the count. Hwy 36 (Lyons to Estes) is open but only passable and no way I would take any of our cars up there. Pam and I are going to drive up on Monday. It took me 5 minutes to get out of the lounge parking lot the other night. With Hwy 34 (Big Thompson Canyon) closed for the count, ours is the only way up to Estes. I really liked it better when we were a disaster area.

Hwy 7 (Lyons to Allenspark and the Peak-to-Peak) is still closed indefinitely.

We will maybe be able to go back to our house in two weeks. We're living with family and friends for over two months. And my best friends will not be able to live in their new homes for over a year.

I'm going to have to get mine out in the next few weeks. I got my plate renewal and I need an emissions inspection. Waiting for a weather cooperating day with no wind (blowing dust) higher temps. We seem to be in line for some snow later this week so it looks like Wedesday.

I would hope to think that if you lapse your renewal until next spring when the roads are better, you should get a by on the late fee if you show them your address. But this being Boulder county maybe not. My emission experience over the years has been that you're better going to the Broomfield station on Teller where there's a few car guys, as opposed to the Boulder airport station where they failed me because the shift indicator on my minivan pointed to "N" instead of "D". Not kidding.

I go to the Longmont one. The last time they just did a static pipe test because it would rip apart their dyno.

I won't take a chance on the delayed renewal. Boulder county won't even remember the flood in march.

That totally SUX beyond words.

Crap...you guys weren't 5 miles from where I am staying in Louisville. Surprised I didn't hear you.:biggrin My GT won't be here until next year. :thumbsdow

Lunch is on me if you guys find yourselves in need of a passenger. I'm having withdrawals.

Any of you Denver guys up for lunch on the 4th or 5th? I should be in town.

Maybe, depends on how far north you might want to come. I'm in Lyons (north of Boulder) so Denver is kind of a haul. The GT most likely won't make the trip but you never know what the weather will be like then.

I could do Boulder area.

Busaba! I'm in Jason

Crud. I'm outta here on the 1st for a couple weeks. If you guys go out before then, give a shout. Boulder.. Lyons... no matter to me, if not in a meeting I'm there.

Well, let us know next time you're in the area, we can at least do lunch.

Busaba on the 5th. Tony, does that work for you?

I'm here now thru next week. Name the time/place and I'm there. Preferably on a weekday.

Its Thai food (darn good) in Loiusville. Its Luke's favorite place. He eats there 4 times a day. :)
