At least you didn't buy a new house at the top of the market, not sell the old house (assuming it was going up in value), move into the new house and then not be able to sell the old house.

Bought in the pre-market run up. But still getting hit by the bottom feeders thinking that houses are .50 on the $1. Need to post a sign that says low bidders will be beaten ... bottom feeders will be shot. :bored

Yeah, I won't make that mistake again. My next home will be out of either straw or wood.

I had one guy offer 600,000 under asking price. My realtor doing her job, decided to see if he was qualified just to keep the process rolling. Turns out he was proposing securing 10% down from his parents, me to carry a second for 10% and then write the offer contingent on his place selling.......what a putz:bored.

Great idea, however don't post the sign warning them first. The courts say that's "lying in wait". Just say the offer scared you so much you felt threatened and shot in self defense.:lol

Steve & Steve: This is EXACTLY what I was referring to when I said we'd taken our lake house off the mkt. 'Only bottom feeders, opportunists, and LOOSERS 'out there making "offers"(?) now. 'WASTE OF TIME trying to sell today.

(Realty broker friend of mine is afraid he's going to be loosing some people here very shortly because NOTHING is moving locally.)
