Laguna Niguel home....opinions?

It looks like there are two banks involved:

- 8/24/05 American wholesale lender $1.25M
- 8/24/05 Countrywide $160K (equity line I assume).

Countrywide is now Bank of America and is a real pain in the ass to work with, especially with loans that they acquired in the purchase of Countrywide.

Not a real good looking property to me.
Are you in agreement, a lot for ????.?

I actually saw it in person last Aug

It's a custom home from 1960s; very well made & materials

Size & location is issue; it's on postage stamp lot and has a house behind it on golf course

It's blocked by some hills, so not in cooler water winds in summer

Pacific Palisades is spendy....saw nothing with a pool under $1MM

Man, I can't imagine paying that much for such a small place. We're in 3400 sq ft with 3 car garage on 1 acre for less than 300k. Nothing fancy but it's my castle.

I was offered a job up in the Boston area about 10 years ago. I was making $52k a year at the time. I was looking for a house to buy and could only find 80 year old homes, two hours away from the office that were in the 500-600k range. I asked someone how the hell anyone affords to live up there and they said 50 year mortgages! Oh hell no!

In NYC suburbs this house would be $1.5 Million...its a clone of parents house
