I got mine. I was all excited so I slapped it together and tried it. Doesn't work. What a bummer!

I just got mine today. It works. I pulled out the battery contacts a little.
Pretty neat. You have to remove the factory plastic covers (use a flathead screwdriver). Install the brain and battery into the billet aluminum cover, and black caseback, screw in the four tiny hexbolts with included wrench and it works.
My first mod. :wink

Yes, the fit seems good. But functionally, mine worked, then I tightened the caseback, and now it doesn't work. Took it apart...
Seems like it should work. I suspect the battery contact must be just right...
And yes, the original Ford plastic case is shorter than the billet pieces. So, the buttons fit into the billet case perfectly, but the battery probably doesn't line up...
