Hi, does anyone have the dimenisions so I can make
myself some pucks to use with floorjack/lift?
I know they are commericially available,
but I'd like to make my own.
Thanks....Larry

Maybe not the answer your looking for but I use standard issue hockey pucks. They work great, look nice, and you cant beat the price!

Base pad is 5 in. x 3/8 in.

Step up pad is 2 3/4 in. x 3/4 in.

Nipple on top to fit into hole in frame 11/16 in. wide x 5/8 in. tall

+1

I have the full set as supplied by GTSaver, but use the standard issue hockey puck.

Jack Washers

Just buy some large washers. 3 inch ones .25 thick are less than a buck. stack what you need. Put a smaller one on top to touch the car. Put a bolt in the middle if you want. Buy at bolt store or McMaster Carr on line. :banana

Waht do the GT guys use??

Do they use Jays jacking points or the manuals?

Hey Larry,

I'm over in Walnut Creek so if you need to borrow one of my pads, (Jays), to make your own, I got em.

Gary, I will contact you if I can't figure out the advice above.

Thanks guys....Larry

Use the junior hockey pucks that are blue. They are smaller dia and fit perfectly in the rear opening so you can pull the belly pans with them in place.

I built two for the front and two for the rears. Holes in front were almost exactly 3/4 and round. I filed to fit just perfectly. The rears were 3/4 wide and oval shape hole. 3" diameter puck 1/2" thick with about an inch long shaft. I then installed a couple of ball plungers on the shafts so I could snap them into place. It was then easier to align the floor jacks. Just wondering if some pucks could be made to stay permanently on the vehicle? If they were made out of nylon they could be a protector for the rare bottoming out situation.

What front holes are you talking about? :frown The front lift point is the back edge of the wheel well. So it's more of a lift area than a specific spot. Only the back lift point has holes.
The lift point diagram in the sevice manual is wrong.

I know there has been some confusion about lift points and that maybe the manual is not quite right or clear enough about the points. There are two holes in front with about a 3" sqaure area clear of the panels underneath which at least seem like the right locations. I know some people have jacked the whole side of the car up from about the middle with no issues. I've even seen someone do it. With the frame so stiff the car pretty much does not bend when lifting it from just about anywhere. I do not know the 100% proper way to lift the car.

Gimbal you are right I looked at some photos and see the hole in front. My problem was my lift arms can't reach both so the front gets lifted right behind the front tire. I have had no damage doing it this way. Trying to upload a picture but don't seem to be getting it.

In the picture I notice there are two holes in the front ( one into a silver area and one into a black area ). Which is correct for lifting?

Use the Black - you'll find it is not thin aluminum but rather a steel forging.

Thanks everyone for your assistance (I started the thread).
I made my rear pucks so they could be held in place, making
it a little easier with a car lift. They slide up into the oval
hole (double D), turn 90 degrees and then stay in place.
This won't work for the front as those holes are round,
I may try a ball-spring detent for those.
I used the dimenisions from previous posts with my top diameter
being .900, with flats & smaller diameter being .700, smaller diameter
being .250 wide.
