Hey....I was not bashing, merely enjoying the Open Trendiness..... I still wish the GT repair manual could run on a MAC... :lol:lol:lol Sorry Centerpunch...

You can actually buy the old iPhones unlocked for Verizon. I checked them out while in Taiwan, but the wifey will have non of that.

Speaking of Verizon, has anyone noticed a significant drop of calls recently?

Now go wash your car Herb....Its filthy...

I understand the courts have said it is not against the law to unlock and move to another provider now.

It was the Library of Congress. I posted about that 2 weeks ago and DBK yelled at me....Im still hiding under the bed!!!

I went travelling today and used a handy little application to find decent restaurants near my location. Within 2 keys strokes I was dialling a restaurant to make a reservation based on an excellent review just 3 miles from me that I would never have otherwise discovered. I am really enjoying my iPhone, it just does exactly what I need...... oh, and it's unlocked to work on any network.

best phone I ever bought; make very few calls but make massive use of muti-media/MMS, txt, HD video, photo gallery dating the younger Ladies

will it work on verizon?

will it work on verizon?

No. Verizon uses different frequency.

The Google vs. Apple has officially started

Just as I had predicted....

Google does great search, but have you ever tried to contact them or do business with them, on even a tiny scale?

They suck. Dealing with Google is even worse than dealing with Verizon, who is terrible.

I think it's easier to buy a house than get a new phone from the Verizon store. I used them for 10 years, then went to AT&T when I got my iPhone, and never looked back. Of course, with the iPhone, you can buy direct from Apple online and not have to go to any phone store. And since I don't live in SoCal or NYC, my AT&T cell coverage is great- hasn't been a problem even once.

I used Google adwords for a while, and they are waaaaay beyond infuriating to deal with. Two years later, they emailed me a coupon for $100 of free adwords service, and I trashed the email rather than dealing with them.

There's a reason those Apple stores are always packed. Great products AND great customer service.

I was just saying that the war has started.... I still think Google will be the winner and Microsoft and Apple will be in the dust....

To your other question, yes I have done business with Google and they were very diligent and without arrogance. Remember the $500K the Navy de-obligated from Apple I wrote about, most of the $ ended up going to Google Earth to support DISA & NGA. Google them if you want to know what they are...

BTW and for what its worth, I dont fully trust Google either, but, they dont aspire to have a heard of sheep for a following.
