Just ran across this Ford racing website video.

Interesting to me since I was there at age 7 but I do remember. My dad US army copter pilot stationed in Germany was a race fan and took us.
Anyway, last January there was a motorsports event honoring New Zealand racer Chris Amon, co-driver with Bruce Mclaren. They won the 1966 Lemans in the Ford GT. Chris is still alive and doing well. I was able to enter my 2005 Ford GT in that event as a hot lap event along with Steve Millen and his race set-up Ford GT. Was lots of fun and got the privelege of meeting Chris Amon and having him sign my GT! I feel that is something significant.
I'll post a couple of photos when I get back to New Zealand, in California sun right now!
