How much to tip delivery driver?

Car should be arriving today - I usually tip for good service. Is there a standard kind of rule for tipping a car delivery driver?

The trip was long (Seattle -> Orlando) and done on time.

Sorry if this has been covered, but I searching on three letter words (tip) is a pain!

Is the driver an independent carrier , Owner operator for a large company , or Employed driver using company truck ?

The tip would vary accordingly ... The company is making thier fair share on that long haul, im sure - the tip should be for his personal care of loading , unloading your car , touching the car , or getting it dirty or greasy with his hands, and maybe not driving on your grass ... ect.

Ive delivered a good amount of cars. Anywhere around 100 - 150 $ would be adequate IMO.

They took $40 - stopped me when I reached for the third $20.

Car arrived in amazing babied shape and the took me through an almost dealer introduction to the car.

It just sucked that I had to go right back to work!

Going to be doing a midnight ride!
