How many times have you owned the same car?

I got a call from a broker the other day offering up a car that I have owned and sold twice in the last few years. Not really in my mind to be an owner of the car again right now as I am looking to move but got me thinking.

How many of you guys have been multi-owners of the same car? I know there are a lot of collectors here and am just curious.

thanks

Never.

For me, it’s a one time deal.

When they're gone, they're gone.

Move on, and never look back.

However, there have been a few that I do regret parting with.

Would I purchase them back?

Never entered my mind.

Doubt it very much.

:cheers

I have.

3 Bronco II's, never more than 2 at a time. But I guess that qualifies. Even had a snow plow attached to one of them.

So nimble and reliable, what's not to like?

I have owned my Heritage twice. I sold it on Ebay, shipped it to Arkansas and bought it back off of Ebay the following week.

I bought it brand new and sold it with 6150.1 miles. When I bought it back it had 6150.2 miles, it had only been driven into the trailer. I never even had to re-title the car or get plates because it was still all in my name.

I almost bought back a 2001 Chevy Tahoe, that I had installed a Whipple Twin Screw Supercharger in with the help of a friend. It wasn't in nearly the same condition as when I had sold it, so I couldn't do it.

And I was tempted to buy back my 2001 e39 M5 (Dyno 395.5 rwhp) that I sold to a friend, when I bought the Ford GT. My friend was enjoying it too much, so I didn't do it.

But, I never did buy either. I think it is best to move on. Doesn't mean that you can't keep the memories...

I did something similar with a house once. I sold it one day, and then I called the next day and wanted to back out, the buyer agreed but it cost me 10k. An expensive lesson in decision making, but I made it all back and more five years later.

AH 104 more than once

Steve I bought and sold a 1955 Austin Healy 104 four times and made money each transaction. It was like a yo-yo that kept bringing more bucks every time it went out. The last time it went to Florida, and haven't heard of it since. That was in 1988. That's the only car I have ever owned more than once. Usually, I don't want them after somebody has screwed around with them.

I don't know if this counts, but I know a guy that married the same woman 3 times - and drum roll ---- he divorced her 3 times:ack

After his last divorce, he bought a new Lambo, a Pentouse in downtown San Diego and a Strip Club. On his 50th birthday (last month) he had over 300 people at his friend's mansion - 18,000 Sq. feet - hosted by a significant number of Playboy Bunnies.

and you stayed at home? :biggrin
