Anybody have any experience with an inop high beam indiator? Everything works on the panel but the blue high beam light. It looks like it's part of a PC assembly and perhaps is an LED and not a bulb. Is there anything else that would cause it not to illuminate? (yes, the headlamps work and the relay clunks going to high beam). It's the little things.... Thanks.

Be happy. That thing is sooo bright I put a small piece of x-ray film over mine to cut down the brightness. I find it annoying.

Yes, be glad. It's like driving with a mag- lite on the dash.

Yea, I read the earlier threads and considered not posting, buuuuut, on the open road at night, it's not always easy to tell where the lights are set and it really annoys oncoming drivers, (deputy sheriffs particularly). I have a pre-cut X-ray standing by. Anybody else?

.....arrrrgggh! gluhhh! I'm dying here... surely just live with it isn't the only answer. Where are the curious ones? ...anybody?

I have never had any trouble with the light, other than noticing that it is very bright. Someone else surely must have an answer for you.

Been hanging out here for 6 years and can't recall having heard of any such problem before.

I pulled the cluster hoping to find a bulb or something I could actually replace. Now that's showing my age. But found, of course, it's a little more high tech than that. The indicator panel is a printed circuit board strip containing all the indicator lamps and electronics in a strip. I didn't unmount it, 'cause I was too scared to touch it! Ya know how those things go. The indicator is probably an LED imbedded on the board, which makes it not a practical field fix. So, just thought I'd ask - I don't have the wiring diagram, maybe (aka hopefully) there is something else in the circuit that controls it's illumination since the high beams obviously work fine. Last thoughts? Going once....
