Heritage black decal/3M film possible fix

Use at you're own risk/reward.

The Heritage has a thin black decal over the two color seam, powder blue/ orange. If a 3M type clear film were applied against stone chips etc., the decal could lift when the film is replaced due to damage.

I saw dozens of professional stripe custom painters at Autorama.

These people can paint sripes like a machine. Have a good one paint over the factory black decal with a clear paint stripe just slightly wider than the black. This would hopefully "set" the decal and prevent it from lifting while keeping it's factory originallity.

Any opinions?

They can't. The black stripe is put on after assembly. You can't paint into tight seams, especially with rubber molding and seals. :frown
