Hennessey Drivetrain

I'm watching Drive/NBC Sports, and they're testing the Hennessey. Why, since the car uses the GT's Ricardo gearbox, did they go with the GM 7 liter? Was it displacement issues?

Yep, we wanted to use the FGT 5.4L V8 but it would not package due to the top-heavy / wide heads and valvetrain.
