Heat spots on exhaust


Fubar, thanks for the heads-up and the photo. My Borla recently started making an annoying resonance at about 1500rpm after warm up. After reading your post I checked my welds. I have the same crack in the same spot. Having the muffler repaired locally will be cheaper than returning it to Borla even if you did have a receipt (I don't either). By the way, Jay Reinhardt is no longer working at Borla.

Well, I had my Borla repaired today. The welder found numerous cracks on every panel. All have been rewelded. It's an easy, inexpensive job for an experienced stainless steel welder. If you have an opportunity to look, check your Borla carefully. BTW, I love my Borla.
