Top Gear video. Unique fuel filler door - remote controlled (at 1:50). Never saw this feature demonstrated.

Thanks for posting the video. I had not seen the sliding fuel door either. Love the exhaust on the prototype.

If you look close at the wheels you will notice that they are pretty deep dish.
Then look at our cars, and it looks like the PT did not have hubs/axles that stick out as far. Not sure they would fit on our cars, I am guessing they would hang outside the wheel well. I would like to be wrong as they always looked very nice.

I thought I had already seen every top gear Ford GT video, but that was new to me. Thanks for the find.

Also, check out those clamshell dual release levers.

Here is a better view of the gauge cluster and the seat/harness assembly.

Played with it at the SEMA debut. It also had remote light switch. Funny little story. The week of SEMA is when NASCAR made a big boo boo and fined Mark Martin for a legal pre-approved change on his car....This still sits poor with Mark & jack as they did it not once but twice both times costing him the championship. Anyhow Mike Helton Pres of Nascar stops in the booth and wants to get on the "A" list to get one. The Ford chiefs were boiling mad and Mike had to go away with his tail between his legs. Although he did tell me that he has lots of GT-40 memorabilia and it is his favorite all time car......

The Show car was the hit of the show and was mobbed all week.

On "Wife day" Janet came into the booth and said I don't need to see anything else......and do what ever you have to do but get one:thumbsup

Also notice the obvious things like the shifter and the bumper delete
