GT snubbed in Vegas

I just spent a week in Vegas at a conference. Went by Caesar's to see the car show/dealership. They want $5 just to look at cars for sale. There were no GTs. The shop has no GT stuff with the exception of one small poster. No models, clothes or paraphenalia of any sort. The other exotics/supercars were well represented. The Penske-Wynn dealership at the Wynn was closed for a special event. I didn't get off the strip, but did scan the paper and didn't see any for sale. I was disappointed.

A Brit drove a red striped Gt across the US(for a British Mag., Goggle it) and thought he'ed be well recieved in Vegas, pulled into the Bilagio or similar casino and had to talk them into VIP parking. They only wanted to stay and have lunch.

Came out and found a couple sitting in the GT, they said "Sorry, we thought it was a rental".

Don't cast your pearls before swine. :cheers

Not suprised, I've heard quite a few valets at the right spots in Vegas make 6 figures a year now.

I was there in February. The exotic car place in the Caesars Forum is just used cars and customs. They don't have a GT yet because there aren't many used ones available. They did have a Koennigsegg (don't think I spelled that right) and claimed it was the only one in the US. Is it really the worlds fastest street legal car? They didn't charge admission there but Penske Ferrari at the Wynne was $10 to get in. Money well spent. Penskes' personal red Enzo was on display as well as a couple of F430s. The rest were used Ferraris and Maseratis. My wife fell in love with the Gran Sport and it almost became a very expensive trip. They have a large storeroom downstairs most people don't realize and had probably 40 cars down there, including a yellow Enzo for sale ($950000), some street rods, a Bourget motorcycle, and several new Maseratis. You get a full view of their service department as you go down to the lower showroom.
All their prices were typically high. I seem to remember the F430 Spider at $295000.

In Vegas, $10 for an hours entertainment is cheap!

TexasGT,

Hi, I think the fastest street production car is the Bugatti Veron.

It does 254mph out of the show room. Cost $1,200,000.00. The previous record was 252 approx.? About a 1000HP and four turbos.

I don't know if any are in the US yet, but I've seen dozens of photos of Different Verons in Europe.

Allan

PS The Bugattis tires would be an awesome addition on the Ford GT. They are Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 PAX , Can't find them online.

The company the transported my car told me that they drop off a Bugatti Veron to Jay Leno. Of course Leno has all of the fastest production cars as well as his custom automobiles.

I am reliably informed that if you drive the Veyron quickly you can get 79 miles out of a full tank of gas.

It makes the GT seem positively frugal in comparison!

Todd,

Thanks for the site, I had tried to find the Verons tire info on that site. Maybe you are better at it than me.

What I want to know is how much is a set of Michelin Veron tires?
