Got one

Awesome. Thanks for all the hints. I work on cars for a living so I have plenty of torches, hammers and prybars. I'll be fine.

- The engine cover in the cabin is sealed with butyl. It is very messy to clean with solvents. I found that rolling up a little ball of the butyl and then using it to dab at the rest, will pull the rest cleanly from the metal surface.

- Replace the messy butyl with:

MD Brand Gray Foam Window Seal 3/16" tall x 3/8" wide Product No: 02253 - Available at Lowes and Home Depot.

There is a reusable rubber gasket that was available as well.

Got mine from Shadowman, but may be available elsewhere.

Haven't installed mine, but wanted it here on the shelf when the time comes that I have to remove the cover.

My parts driver said she saw a Plycar truck this morning. Could it be? The Plycar driver called me. It is it is. He said he's in Sac, that's another truck. Boo!!!! Tomorrow though, Yea!!!
Would have been nice today though. It's been raining for at least a month with massive flooding and road closures. It's not raining today, actually full sun. Tomorrow the rain is back for a while. I think I'll do donuts in the garage, "watch this"!

Hope you get it tomorrow....get the video camera ready.

Rob,
Now that you are a veteran owner, how do you feel about the white color?

Thoughts on oil pump belts.
I have a 15 year old belt with 11000 miles on it.
I can get a new 10 year old belt.
Change it or not?
Anybody ever hear of a belt failure?
Thanks,
Rob

Sorry if I missed this. Wife and I are 100% happy with the color choice.

The earliest manufacture date OEM belt I could find available was 2010. So probably the same date code as yours.

. and how do you contribute to a "paid membership"? I'd like to contribute

Go to the "Menu" drop down list. Near the bottom you will see "Subscribe", that's it.
