Anyone able to recommend a Glass Polish kite/compound for a 1963 Corvette? I just finished polishing the stainless but would like to clean and polish the Glass. I saw a product called Janvil but have no point of reference.

I would also like to find out a little more about glass polish. I have a couple older vehicles that have some very very light scratches on the glass and I was trying to do some research on how to polish and or buff glass. Anyone that can help, it would be appreciated.

I bought a Eastwood kit to polish the windows for my 66 Shelby. It worked well, but was very messy. Its a slurry, and with the drill it slung crap everywhere. I had the glass out, but still was a mess. But I can say it did a very good job. It won't take out heavy scratchs. It worked well for me.

Here are the two I researched but have no experience with. Thanks for the Eastwood referal, I had heard of it and forgotten about it.

HHGT,
The second one sounds like the Eastwood stuff. The first one is manual labor, I try to avoid that!

By the way, I have a 360 hp 63 Vette that had been sitting in the corner for years. Some day I should get that thing out!

May be I should take the FI off your hands! What color?

My 63 SWC is a Black on Black with a 327 300Hp Pwr windows, pwr brakes and powerglide. Documented california car with 42,000 miles.

Mine is a original FI car, but is not numbers matching. It is Sebing Silver with blue interior, and Power windows. It is a early coupe. Came from Harry Man in California.

Auto glass care:

I commonly use a clay bar on glass. For tuff spots you might want to try a good paint cleaner compound with a low rpm buffer.

I have used the Glass Scrub by glass science.

Finally. Here is a kit:

Griot's has some good stuff too:
