Funny smell

I was driving my beloved 2005 FGT and I noticed a funny smell that seemed like leaking AC coolant.

I took it to the dealer and it turned out to be mildew from the heater. in Florida i never have had the need to turn on the heater. it seems you have to run the heater for 15 minutes every so often. The mechanic said best if you run the AC at the same time. It did not smell like the mustly order I would have expected, but the solution did seem to work.

My car is stored and does not get driven alot. Once every 6 weeks for a couple of days.

Lee, sounds like you should grant yourself more seat time to if anything to :thumbsup get rid of the mildew

I have a funny smell in my Viper, but not in my GT. I think something dies in my Viper.:ack

I have noticed that my GT has a wonderful leather smell to it. Probably the nicest out of any of my other cars. I do have to admit though, my new LS460 smells damn good.:biggrin

Strange you should mention it

The other day I was driving my car and pulled up next to a new Cadillac something or other that sounded quite nice. We were both stopped at a light and he wanted to play.

When the light turned green I got a real good launch, then grabbed a fistful of second gear while on the power quite hard. My car started to slide AND then rotate-towards the curb and the stone wall beyond. After I got the beast under control and my heart started beating again, I noticed a funny smell coming from inside my car.....
