Ford Racing Exhaust

I just ordered new stainless steel headers with the muffler in the 3" exhaust pipe from my dealer.

M-9430-GTX header& muffler $4495.00
BBK-1675 catalyst eliminator 109.00
labor not to exceed 800.00

Dealer gave me 10% off on parts, they'll be here in a week. Benefits, less weight, less heat, more power and a healthier sound. I'll post pictures of the system before install and after. These parts are not in the book yet.

Shoboat

I am posting this for Michael.

The exhaust was installed about two weeks ago. The dealer tech who installed it, Jim, wanted me to mention that the install goes a lot smoother if the motor mounts are loosened. He said this info was not in the book.

This exhaust is not for the faint of heart! The car is audible from several miles away when under power. Please direct any specific questions to Michael Murray.

I wanted to post thumbnails, but I haven't had time to get the album created. Instead of waiting, here are the pics for those interested. Here are the direct links to them:

That-s what Piko has aswell ! It is real loud, I testify... Like a racing GTC, hear it first, it-s scary!

If someone is interested, Piko wants to sell his since he installed the Twin turbo setup. I think he wants only reasonable money for it !

Muscle Motors is installing one of these on my car as we speak. I heard the Borla with the cats delted, and frankly it wasn't that loud. Also, the sound was just a loud muffled sound, not distinctive or racy like the Tubi I had on my Diablo. That's why I'm going for the "whole enchalada", hoping it's got a little racier sound. I've heard that during normal driving it's not too bad, you just need to look around around before nailing it.

Foed header exhaust

As the owner of the GT teflon is referring to. it's about time my GT sounds like a bad ass machine. Several weeks before I had it installed, I parked far out in a Meir's Parking lot on a Sunday afternoon. When I came out of the store, I notice the car is surrounded by 6 people. As I approached, one said,'' they just wanted to hear me start it up''. I was embarassed! :thumbsdow

Not anymore :wink While cruising, you can carry on a conversation with the person next to you. When you stand on it [ which I love to do ] sounds like a F16 launching off on aircraft carrier. The engine runs about 10 degrees cooler also.

Would highly recommend adding it to your car. :biggrin :biggrin :biggrin

Have you looked at Stainless Works header system, seems better quality and cheaper price. I have a borla exhaust muffler if you need one. Let me know about the clutch.

Just had Racing exhaust installed!!! WOW

It is loud but being a Harley guy to I love that sound when you nail it. Has anybody dynoed or determined what if any tuning needs to be done to get optimum performance with this setup?
