Ford Motor Co. (Shelby) 1967 Promotional Tour

As fait has it my 2006 Ford GT came in at the second week of June and I took a picture of it in the same spot on my shoowroom floor exastly 39 years later than a picture taken in 1967 when Carroll Shelby sent a Ford GT-40 race car to my Father Gene Hamon for display. Now you can see why my Ford Career has come full circle. My Family has been in the Ford business 50 years and I started my 41st year on June 1st. My Ford GT will always have a special place in my heart and mind. Along with my Ford GT I also own an AC Mark IV Cobra built in England with 8,200 miles. Tomy Hamon

Ford GT-40

For those interested the Ford GT-40 in the picture was dark blue with white racing stripes 302 V8 engine with webber carbs. It was a blast to drive as I was 23 yrs old. My Father would take it to a local drag strip on Sat. night and run it through the traps. Needless to say Carroll and my dad enjoyed the 60's.
