Has anyone come across well made t-shirts and sweatshirts that represent the GT?

Thank you in advance.

Ford has been tight on releasing rights to this kind of stuff. Go to the Ford Racing Products net site. I bought a nice black jacket and the camp shirt. The maroon jacket I bought was way too small and I had to send it back.

I bought some caps, t-shirts, & jackets from this site:

fjpikul:

Thank you; that's all I found as well. It is a shame that there were not more licensed apparel items made available.

Jerry:

Now that is one fugly T-shirt. Another thing...why is there the immediate assumption that if you need X-tra large for your shoulders that the shirt has to be huge around the waist. What happened to the concept of athletic t-shirts? Manufacturers must think we are built like bowling balls.

What would be cool would be a black (or white or blue, etc) T-shirt with the side stripes from the GT running down one side of the shirt. Large or Extra Large and tapered at the waist.

Here you go...

finally found one from my pal Frans in XXXL (bony size) thanks MJ! :thumbsup

Roush in the UK had some Slazenger black polo shirts made up with Ford GT logo over the left breast, 'Le Mans 1966-2006' over the right, a white stripe down both arms and a number '2' on the right arm (signifying the black/white winning 1966 car, numbered 2).

They're nice shirts and I bought four of them.

I would imagine that they could order more - if anybody wants me to check with Roush I could do so, from memory they were £25 (sterling) each.

Neil,
I will take 1 if they have XXXL. I will be happy to paypal you or give a credit card number that Roush can process. Many thanks!
Cheers,
daniel

Neil, please send info to order. I need the smaller Bony size (XXL)....

Thanks,

Go to ford collectionn web site

I got the Shirt with stripe down front side and 3 color GT cars on back.

The black jacket is cool; the fleece is sorta a racing knock off. Weird color; female tapered fit and weird wing collar.

OK - I've just mailed Roush to see if they'll take overseas orders. If they can't I'll order them for you.

I'll come back to you with the information.

Yes. It's very comfortable & I've gotten a ton of complements on it. Waterproof as well. Well worth the money! :thumbsup MJ

OK, so, in summary, you can either buy something tasteless, shapeless and/or expensive. In either case, they have been reluctant to license products for the GT so our choises are limited.

Many years ago, I made my youngest (he was a year old) a series of T-shirts by creating iron on transfers on the computer. That gave control over design.

I think I shall make a couple of T-shirts for the kids and me. Mine will be more conservative, and above the pocket, I shall put:

"Your name here"
"Limit 8 letters"

Piccola- Are you sure the complements weren't just directed toward you? No disrepect to Centerpunch, but he may not gather the same attention... :wink

Chris, the charmer..... :wink

You are very sweet Chris, but I doubt it. They are not form fitting or tapered like some of the girlie jackets, but none-the-less I LOVE it & keep it behind my desk at work.

No worries Centerpunch! At least 2 of the compliments were on the jacket & not me. :wink After it was scanned, an airport security guard joked about not letting me take it on the plane...so he could keep it. Another time I was carrying the jacket (& WAY too much other stuff) at Pebble Beach. I dropped the jacket & a nice guy picked it up, felt it, looked at it, & asked if they made them for Ferrari. Yeah, he liked it. :biggrin :banana
