Ford 6.0 EGR Delete Kit with Tuner Question

Hello everyone.

I’m considering doing an EGR delete on my Ford 6.0 Powerstroke, but I have a few questions about the process. Does anyone here have experience with using an EGR delete kit along with a tuner?

Specifically, I'm curious about the best tuner to pair with the kit for both performance and engine longevity. Are there any potential issues I should be aware of when removing the EGR?

Also, does anyone know if the delete affects the truck’s emissions or warranty?

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

This is the Ford GT Forum, 2 door coupes with supercharged 5.4 liter V8. Perhaps you need a Ford truck forum.

Anything else been done to the engine? The delete can make it run hotter, especially when towing, which has resulted in blown head gaskets on engines without other modifications.
I have found helpful info over here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/index.php
Several other 6.0 specific forums out there was well.

There is a forum for those engines and trucks, and the guys there will know the answers. A very short answer here is that any aftermarket tune or delete WILL negatively affect your emissions and warranty. If you must stay emissions-compliant, forget about it.

So the 6.0 was produced 2003-2007, warranty is gone. The sole purpose of an Exhaust Gas Return system is for emissions, so for sure you will be affecting the trucks emissions. Perhaps look around and see how many shops have been heavily fined by the EPA for selling kits for this.

This may be a clue to the $100 "Ford GT" oil change.

In addition to being illegal in all 50 states. Some places selling these have gotten into put-yourself-out-of-business trouble. But it's your truck
