The article suggests that the 2006 model is slightly faster....
"Similar to the 2005 Ford GT, the 2006 version boasts a 550-hp V8 engine, yet it shaved 0.4 seconds off its acceleration time." I had not heard this...is this true? The 0-60 times that are listed put the 2006 Ford GT in 3rd. But almost all the articles that I have read in various car magazines tested the 2005 Ford GT and not the 2006 version.

I had a meeting with Kip Forbes many moons ago and was amazed to see a bottle of priceless wine on display in their 5th Avenue reception area in a glass cabinet with a halogen light on it. The bottle was nearly empty (of wine) as the cork had shrunk under the heat of the lighting. Ooops! I was later told it was a mistake to display it....

That Saleen looks interesting - it doesn't get much press over here. What's the verdict on that car in the US?

They forgot the Porshe GT which is faster than our Ford Gt. Generates 610 hp on a non supercharged V10.

where did you get your info on the Porsche? Are you talking to 0-60? Which the Ford wins or the 0-100-0 which the Ford wins again or the top speed? Which the Porsche wins?

At the time that bottle was the most expensive wine every bought at auction by Malcom Forbes. It was from THOMAS JEFFERSON'S cellar and had blown in the glass the initials 'TK'. Yes, the heat from those lamps ruined the wine and shrunk the cork...what a waste.
