Extended length tow hook

Shawn, I have never seen an extended length offered by Ford, just the stock style.
There is an option available by a vendor that comes with a lead on it.
I took my stock hook to a swap meet and had a guy that makes tow/tie down straps put a lead on mine for $20.
Basically just a section of strap with a D ring on it.

It doesn't matter if it's for the Ford GT, only that it's threaded correctly. Have you looked at aftermarket like Jegs?
The longer towing eye is a standard part for a few European models (S Max, Mondeo, Kuga and probably some others)
I don't know if you can order this over there but 6M21-17B804-AB will do the job.
It definitely reduces the risk to the "brake duct" when you use the longer one.

I can't remember when we came out with our strap solution - maybe it was 2008, or so. Yes, there are extended length tow eyes available and we had looked at those, but you would need to be VERY careful to only have a straight pulling force. Unfortunately, the female tow eye on the GT is NOT brutally strong. The long tow eyes will create a lever - perhaps 3x or 4x over the OEM eye and if you ever have an off-angle pulling scenario you are at risk of damaging the GT.
The listed part is will worth it. We bring the GT in all the time with the extended
strap tow hook. Easy to load & unload.
