Wow. I’ve never been a fan of battery power but this gives me pause to reconsider. Wickedly fast and the reserve power is still there after multiple runs. The future is coming and I can see this technology trickling down to everyday cars as the cost of production declines. Plus it’s a nice looking car. Now all it needs is a V12 or hot rod V8 soundtrack to play as you accelerate. Thanks for sharing, quite impressive.

Who is underwriting the R&D? I am not familiar with RIMAC.

He has sold his tech to several companies including, I think, Porsche. I’m a total luddite when it comes to electric cars, but can’t wait for my hideously-ugly Cybertruck to be delivered - buy Texan!

i think one of the most interesting areas will be battery development. Getting them more powerful and thus lighter and cheaper at the same time will create exciting opportunities.

Also having independent motors will allow for interesting torque vectoring (adjusting them very often depending on wheel/axle slip).

Not only is Porsche a partial owner, the Volkswagon Group is considering spinning off Bugatti to Rimac.

I was hoping it was going to be this promised electric car.

Impressive 1/4 mile, weird to see car burn rubber off the line with no traditional motor noise just tire squeal

It sort of reminds me of one of the newer rollercoasters. You just sit there in the beginning and wait, no real noise, and it launches and accelerates like crazy.

Looks a bit too much CGI to me.

Not arguing, I love the Idee of EV retrofits. Bring it on.
