I finally poped in the blu ray director's cut to watch this killer submarine movie. They must have jacked with my copy because somewhere in the middle of the movie our DBK was captain of the boat. He did pretty good for driving a slower heavier vehicle.

Credit for this role goes to DBK's agent - Camilo. A quiet an unassuming artist by day, and bonvivant of Hollywood by night.

One of the best movies of all time. The first time I saw it, right after it came out, was at a theater in German with sub-titles. They dubbed it in English later on but somehow it still sounds better to me in German. Highly recommended for those who have not seen it.

If you can find the German theatrical version, I believe it's around 4 to 5+ hours. Excellent movie and is probably the most most realistic movie on WWII submarine warfare.
