A friend I spoke with last night that works for one of the security firms said to be on the look out for a very dangerous virus.
It is triggered by opening an Email...yes opening.. The emails say
" you have rec'd a post card from a Friend , family member, your buddy, etc"
once opened it takes your email list and sends it to everyone on it with the same line, BUT it uses your name to add credibility.
As soon as the virtual card is opened the computer will freeze up. You will have no choice bu t to re-boot. BUT the ctrl alt del keys or reset button triggeres the virus to destroy sector zero of the hard drive.
Do not open any emails labeled like this, even if you know the sender.
He said CNN was going to or had run a report on this. I had not seen it.
