Beautiful East Texas
Are any of y'all planning on going to the Ford shindig over at Sandy Lake Park next Saturday (4-19-08)?

SCAT is also hosting its monthly GTG over there at the same time in conjunction with the Ford Picnic.

If the weather is decent (which it's supposed to be good all week), I'm going to drive my GT in to town and enjoy some automotive comradery
over there with some fellow Ford fanatics...

See attached C&P:

On Saturday, the Dallas chapter of the Early Ford Club of America will hold its All Ford Picnic at Sandy Lake Park in Carrollton .

The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., is a Ford fest open to everything from Model Ts to street rods, late-model Mustangs and Mercurys, Lincolns and Edsels.

Admission is $8 per car, plus Sandy Lake charges $2 per person – a small price for a big Ford fix.

*Please note the change to $8 for 2008 event.*

Hope see a few other GT peeps over there too.

Have fun and please share the pics.

I will be tied up this weekend unfortunately.

I'll try and make it.

There'll be 2 other FGT owners there though maybe only one will drive his GT. The other will be driving another Ford product. I've been trying to get that one to join in here for over a year, the first doesn't own a computer.

Sounds good I will try an make it.

Thanks for posting this.

I will have to see what the wife has planned for me (lost control of the home scene years ago...) this weekend. I would like to talk her into driving her '34 Ford sedan while I take the GT.

It should be a good time, I look forward to seeing y'all over there.

Wasn't it you who posted a pic or two of your '34 sdn a while back? Or was that someone else's? (Black EVERYTHING as I recall!!!:thumbsup)

Not sure who owns the black '34, the wife's is Yellow with Tan leather.

I did get some pics but no one was around their cars at the time:

Wait a minute - this is Texas? Where did all the green and trees come from? Looks like the Gt's got the best parking. Love those RED cars.

Good parking in the morning but 88 degrees later on - it was hot out.

apparently, I didn't get as many pics as I thought.,, only one good pic of Steve's GT, and a few of the t/a cooler and fire supression system on Fubar's car.

oh well.... next time maybe.

btw.. great pics on the slide show Bird, that old black T-bird with the OEM supercharger was really cool.

I got some video of the three exhaust systems. I will post it when I figure out how to convert it to a youtube friendly format.

Black/silver = Heffer rear pipe
Blue/White = Borla (cat delete)
Red/White = Mardyn may need to clarify the exact make of this one.

Fubar, my exhaust system was built by Chad Ernst at Fat Cat Fab (FCF)
(formerly Kinetic Speed in ATL)

Can anyone recommend a good video editing program for blurring out license plate and such?
