Dear Shadowman: (My First Dad)

It has been almost been 6 months since I was abruptly placed on a car hauler in California heading for Elite Auto in Jonesboro, AK. Frankly, at first, my feelings were a bit hurt. Based on our relationship and all the modifications we had been though together, I thought it would have been more appropriate for you to become more personally involved in the selection of my second Dad and assure that I would receive a very special home. Although both Shelby and Eric at Elite are fine gentlemen and Shelby expressed some interest in retaining me as his own personal gal, I had no illusions, that in the final analysis, Shelby is in the car business and for the proper price, I would be heading down the road again. I shudder to think that I might I have been purchased by some pimp or race track gambler where, I could have had met an early ignominious end. I know you are a honorable man and have nothing but my best interest at heart. I hold no grudge. I will always remember the very pleasant hours we spent together.

Please be assured that everything worked out for the best and I am extremely happy in my new home in Florida which I share with Frannie, Al and my little sister an Ultima GTR. There are several things I really like about Florida. First, they have no personal income tax, therefore, more discretionary income to be spent on my sister and me. Two, the further away I get from Nancy Pelosi the more secure I feel. Three, it appears that Al has very little to do with folks of liberal leanings, in fact, I cannot recall one of them in our home. I am well aware that you and Al coordinate frequently about my health and well being and we both are very appreciative of your concern and professional input. Al has promised me that when he gets too old or infirm to care for me in the manner I have been accustom to he will become deeply involved in the selection of my next Dad. Should he pass on suddenly he has provided Frannie with a list of names of folks on the Forum he believes will treat me with respect and where I can again become a meaningful part of a family unit. At my request you name has been placed on top of the list. I am at peace with the world.

Hope you, and for that matter, all the folks on the Forum have a Very Merry Christmas, a Great Holiday Season and a healthy and prosperous 2010.

Love,

Shadow

I think that this could be a first. A posting from a GT to her previous owner. Kind of touching. Very nice sentiment, however.

When Shadowman arises today he may also report that you also missed a sizable snow storm last night.

Yes this is a very different but cool post Al:rofl:rofl

Hope I am at the top of the list also if you are faced with an unexpected early demise.
But, hopefully that is an issue we never have to review! May your 2010 be in good health and wealth my friend!

Hi Shadow

What a wonderful post and compliment; thank you

I could not be happier that your home is a great one and the folks surrounding you truly appreciate you and that you bring them much joy; through this I experience it too.

Now as for the weather; Shadow you missed over a foot of snow, trees down, power out throughout the community however within the facility it remains warm as the automatic generator kicked on and took over around 4:00am and if I had not been told I would be know the wiser that the power is effectively out

Thank you for the wonderful post

Takes care

Shadowman

Syco GT:

Agree, when I purchased Shadow from Elite, Shelby promised to send the model contained in the below clip with her for photographic purposes, but she has never arrived.

Looks to me like her detailing job could put Jason out of business...nothing personal Jason!

Nice post Al !! Put me on the list,,

Hope I am at the top of the list

Both requests to be placed on the so called “Bucket List” have been thoroughly discussed with Shadow:

Brian: After returning from Rally IV, I informed Shadow about your ownership and love of two Ford GTs, the special personal touches and performance enhancements on Helenor, and the speed record you set at the Texas Mile. Shadow has approved your request and asked me to place your name on “The List” directly under Shadowman’s name.

Shelby: As a friend, I do not like to be the bearer of bad news. However, as stated in the original post, Shadow is a strong believer, not unlike Elin Woods, Tiger’s wife, in a long term stable family environment. Fortunately, for the members of the Forum, you are in the car business, but this is unfortunate as far as Shadow is concerned. However, upon my strong urging, Shadow has agreed to the following and directed me to place you name on the “The List” on the condition that you agree in writing that if sent your way she will be your gal and a member of your family for no less than 5 years, such agreement to be supported by a performance bond to be posted prior to her shipment. I think Shadow learned about these these legal issues from listening to Woods saga on the TV in her room. PS: Shadow asked me to remind you of the owner’s manual you promised her.

Best wishes to all, for a great Holiday Season and a wonderful 2010.
