Well that means you're coming through Oklahoma. I was planning to leave Wednesday morning but will adjust if I can to have company on the ride. When do you expect to be south of Tulsa? Or I have room for you to stay overnight and a building to store your car securely if you change your mind about driving straight through.

Have a great trip my brothers, enjoy enjoy!
And definitely keep the pics coming. Wishing I could join you all!

Stopped in Payson at world famous Rim Liquor.

I did 29 hours straight! Park City UT to New Orleans La.... that’s a whole box of no-doze, 8 cups of coffee, 7 tanks of diesel, and 5 what-a-burgers (double patty).

I’ve got a great co-driver. UPS veteran driver John Tichi and I take turns doing 4 hour stints in my fabulous aluminum F-150 towing the GT.

Have a great trip! But know it would have been SO much more fun driving the NFGT!

What an unforgettable adventure! Like Route 66 the TV show. Ok, I’m showing my age.

Great report guys.. ! If you can keep posting along the way regarding the weather , I would be thankful.

I leave Detroit in the 2017 NFGT at about dawn on Thursday and drive straight thru to the hotel by Thursday late evening.
Should be about 12 hours straight.. Only me and my clothes, battery backup, fire extinguisher etc in the passenger seat.

Hopefully I don't drive straight into a Hurricane in Georgia.
I may call you for a weather report mid day on Thursday... From Kentucky..

200 miles from Oklahoma City and hauling ass. Fog and light mist in north Texas. Crazy shadow reaching skyward from the giant cross.

Be safe guys.. I hope this hurricane doesn't alter my plans Tune In The Weather Channel when you get a chance

11:30 pm. We're deep into Oklahoma. Rain on and off. Had to make a pit stop and were re-routed for 6 miles onto the ORIGINAL single lane, cement highway route 66. Very cool to see how America once traveled.
