Cars and Coffee in Somerset County NJ

I saw the Cars & Coffee thing for Irvine California and its a little far for me to drive for coffee but thought, "gee those west coast guys have a good idea why not do the same thing on Saturdays here in NJ this Spring and Summer?"

Any NJ guys for organizing a Saturday morning Cars & Coffee thing here in NJ in Somerset County. I would recommend right off RT78 ext 33 at the Panera Bread in Martinsville. Its 15 Minutes from Morristown NJ.

Any takers? It wouldn't necessarily be limited to FGTs.
 
I think this may be the start of a good thing. DavisP? GTNJ?

Thats great! I was thinking like every weekend or ever other weekend weather permitting. Very informal. I would think if we have it every weekend we'll have some showing on some weekends and others on different weekends.

Also, thinking ahead, Somerville Cruise night is starting in May. One of the top 10 biggest cruise nights in the country. It is every Friday night. I was thinking it would be way cool to have a bunch of FGTs show up one afternoon. If interested I will speak to the sponsor club and see if we can reserve spots. We'd likely have to get there early, like around 3:00 p.m. It gets pretty crowded and spots on Main Street go quick.

Any thoughts or suggests welcome.

We'll pick a weekend to kick off. I would prefer May or late April when the weather warms. Problem with April is the RAIN!!!!:eek

Just a 26 mile sprint North on 206. I'm in too, that is after I get the new headers installed.

What the heck right? Pick a beautiful day and head on up. In fact, to make the trip worth it we can head back to mi casa (10 minutes away and back towards the GSP) and I'' throw some burgers on for lunch and break out the Becks.

Great idea! Count me in. It would be great to see how many East Cost/NJ FGT's we can assemble in one place. Looks like it could be pretty impressive.

Anybody know how we could go about doing a track day at Pocono?

Hey guys: As a follow up the Robertson Race Team FGT will be at Lime Rock on July 12, 2008 for American LeMans Series. I plan on going. Definitely.

Anyone else?

Maybe we can convince them to let us in the pit area if we bring cookies or something?:wink
