Woke up at 6am, and knew that I should either jump in the car and head out to a local show, or I would probably fall asleep and wake up too late.
In the last few days, I am starting to get exclusively questions about the new 2017 FGT and the application, production, and allocation process. At car shows or gas stations, I find myself approached and bombarded with questions about the application.
I'm sure all owners have been on the receiving end of the most random questions from time to time, but lately, they are getting really quite bizarre.
These are just some of the actual questions I have been asked:
"For the 2017 Ford GT application, I heard a rumor that you have to send a video "begging" for it. Is that true?"
"So, there is a video option, but it's completely optional?"
"Are they favoring previous GT owners or is it fair game for all applicants?"
So, when I get questions like these, I explain that I am not employed by Ford, that I am not a consultant, and that I am not on the selection committee, nor do I have any contact with the selection committee.
Usually, I try to direct them to the website for answers, but of course, the questions keep coming, so then I do my best to politely ask them to take a moment, and think about what they might do, if they were Ford, or what might matter to them.
All in all, it's fairly entertaining to see what the general public and also car enthusiasts of varying degrees of intensity think about the 2017 FGT.
Are you noticing the same? I have to imagine so.
