Greetings All

I am about to complete a set of carbon interior parts for a friend and will be building multiple sets over the next few weeks.

The first parts tooled are the center tunnel and also the door trim rings.
These are resin transfer molded in a 2X2 twill weave carbon.
These are complete replacement parts, not caps.

I am replacing the aluminum door trim ring with carbon fiber and using original style substraits to fasten them to the door.

The center tunnel is a recreation of the magnesium part, now executed in carbon fiber. All of the associated parts are reused; handbrake bezel, ac controls, shift boot, and arm rest. I have recreated the graphics in a contrasting white and color filled the temperature range for more contrast. I also have light pipes through the carbon to show the MAX and RECIRC lamps as employed with the original part. They are loads of work, but they look killer. It's crazy how carbon fiber can make a magnesium part feel heavy!

I am uploading an in-process pic now and will have pictures of the installation this Saturday.

If anyone is interested, you can PM me and I can follow up with you.

Kip, I'd be very interested in these parts. Can the armrest be re-done to make some storage, even a little bit, even just a little bin? Love it. Frank

Looks amazing. :cheers

For people who don't know, Kip was "Supervisor; Package, Prototype and Launch - Ford GT" and was the guy who chopped the roof off a 1:18 model to convince Ford to do the GTX1 for SEMA.

Wow - Kip had no idea you was involved so heavily... :thumbsup
