I got a really cool watch a few weeks ago, a B.R.M. V12. It a race car inspired watch company. There watches are just cool to look at but they take car/motor design and incorporate it into the time piece. Anyhow, I had an opportunity to meet with US sales rep (the company is French :bored) and he offered to make any of my car buddies a deal. As you are all my "buddies" let me know if you would like one and I'll put you in contact with Federic (Frei da reek). :biggrin

They actually use a Ford GT in the opening sequence of their sites Flash animation. If you get the Titanium Birotor, hell give me a free set of cuff links. :eek

I hate you:wink. Now I'm gonna spend endless hours looking at the site and spend more $.

I'm glad that happens to other people too.

I like the Birotor. How much is it?

You have good taste, I think that is one of their more expensive watches. I know there is a titanium one on eBay for $33k. I'll ask Frederic about it tho. My watch V12 cost around $5k - $6K. I like the MRT-48 and the CT-48. I see if I can get prices on all this stuff.

I usually dont like to break $10k on a watch. So anything under $10k that is a GOOD buy I am interested in. I collect watches, but I collect them to actually wear, not just to look at and I dont really worry about future value, which is the reason I try to keep my watches under $10k. Would be hard to stomach a $10k+ watch getting damaged or even lost for that matter.....:ack

I have a few watches with less than 100 minutes of wear time on them...Still on MSO too

I suspect he would build a GT edition if we had ten or buyers. BRM does lots of special edition for race teams.

I bought the same one a year ago and I purchased a PMT about 4 months ago. Fantastic watches accept I had to have them make me some bands since my wrests are so big (see my avatar).

Birotor is north of $50k

CT- 48 is around $18k

MRT - 48. Is around 4,500 - 7,500 depending on how you have it configured.

The V12 is 5,500 to $6,000 depending on options

Any color face/hands/straps/stitching you want. You can choose the case metal on a few models. Hope it helps. Shoot me a pm if you want Federic's number.

I spoke with my friend at BRM today. He seemed very interested in making a Matech Racing watch to commemorate the return to le Mans. I think he intends to go by the pit and speak with Matech about it. BRM currently sponsors OAK Racing and the LMP1 Peugeot. I also reminded him that they use the Ford GT image in their company's current flash intro.

This is the watch made for OAK Racing.

Fubar, is that pink, purple, or chartreuse? Your friends want to know.

It's called Prince Purple... ask the guys from Detroit about it.

I lost a $40k watch last year when I fell out of my boat (dislocating my shoulder in the process).... It's in about 70 feet of water amongst dense seaweed in a busy shipping lane.

I never think about it.

More than about 12 times a day.

:bored

Please tell us it was INSURED? :willy

Brutal... I threw a fit when I forgot my $300 Seiko in a hotel room. I think I would have blown a frontal lobe over $30k.

Can I get the GPS coordinates on that diving location?

It was. And I replaced it with an identical model.

However, I would like that particular watch back as I bought it to celebrate selling my company - so it's kind of special.

It's on the Breguet register (which also lists Marie Antoinette, Napoleon and me... amongst others!), so if it ever comes up on a fisherman's net, it will bounce back to me.

WOW, now there's a team. :biggrin

GOOD! :willy

Do you suppose the stem seal will last in salt water long enough to make that even a slim possibility (assuming said fisherman doesn't "bounce" it anywhere other than into his watchmaker son's shop :lol)?

BRT-3-N looks great
