Saleen S7 for the win!

Sorry, but I still feel that the Ford GT is the best looking super-car built.
After all, this design is more than 40 years old and is still a knockout.
Timeless in design, the mark of a true classic.

i did not realize that there was more than one super car
FORD GT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SM
#1451--------RED/WHITE

Top Ten "Super" Cars

1. Ford GT (looks good in any color, timeless design)
2. F50
3. F40
4. Murcielago LP640
5. Enzo
6. CGT
7. Ruf Rt12
8. SLR
9. S7
10. 599GTB

The Pagani Zonda is quite unique and futuristic, I like it.

Ford GT all the way. :thumbsup

My order...
1) Ford GT
2) Saleen S7
3) Porsche Carrera GT
4) McLaren F1
5) Aston Martin DB9 (I know, maybe not a super sports car, but it does look fantastic!)
6) Lambo Murcielago
7) Ferrari 599GTB
8) C5 Z06 (I know, maybe not exotic but it looks great and better than the C6 Z06 IMHO)
9) Ferrari 355
10) AMC Pacer (just joking but it was pretty cool to ride in it as a kid)

1) GR-1
2) Ford GT

In any order:

McLaren F1 longtail, Ford GT/Mark 1 GT40, S7.

I think the Ford GT has to win - OK, I'm slightly biased, but like many here I've owned a few nice looking cars... I still think the GT is achingly beautiful. My short list for great looks would be

1. Ford GT
2. Lamborghini Muira (if they had made it, so I'm cheating by including it)
3. Aston Martin Vanquish (from some angles it's sheer poetry)
4. Koenigsegg is interesting too....
5. Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

I have a keen eye for this.

1. 1966 Ford GT40 Mk I
2. 2005/6 Ford GT
3. 1967 Ford GT40 Mk II
4+. Everything else.

Just got in and read some posts.........Looks like her Christmas list has begun!

That's a beautiful shot of the F1 and Enzo - really nice. Is it your photo?

Blue, have you seen the Veyron in the flesh? I bid for one in a charity auction, it went for about 2 GT's over my final bid in the end! I like it for it's complexity and the finishing touches - but I can't say it has the simplistic and elegant beauty of the GT. However, it is an amazing thing to behold.

See the interior of the Veyron. It's simply stunning...By the way, I was told same leather producer than our GT's... :thumbsup

I agree with ChipBeck. The Veyron is a POS! It is ugly too! :thumbsup

My list...

1. Ford GT (timeless design)
2. Lamborghini Gallardo spyder (sexy)
3. Viper GTS Gen II (classic proportions)
4. Ferarri F430

Honestly, thats it for me. The Enzo is UGLY...the F1 is a technical tour de force but aestheticlly leaves me cold. All 911s remind me of VW beetles or overturned bathtubs.

Virtually every other "supercar" in my opinion, is either over the top (e.g., Countach, Veyron), derivative (NSX), plain (Corvettes except some of the 60's models), ugly (Caterham) or just plain wierd (Zonda).

In addition to the obvious Ford GT and the already and often mentioned McLaren F1, I'd add the Jaguar XJ220. Not necessarily a commercial or even technical success but gorgeous! And just my opinion, but while the Enzo is a technical showcase and the current F-40/F-50 successor, it's hardly beautiful.
