To me, and IMHO, I think every car Lambo has built in the last 35 years has been a continuation series of the Countach. And yet their CEO said we are not into revisiting the past when it came to this;

Not sure where they came up with the name..or what it means. When I first saw it, I thought it was an offshoot of the Turbo-Entabulator.

Kind of Like saying a Ford GT is a similar or version of a Pantera. The car has a lamborghini look I would agree and so does the Gallardo, but these are very different cars

At least it has some curves. Their use of straight lines and angles just went way too far. Curves, thats what a car should have. Curves like a woman... ask Camilo. I have to agree that it looks VERY similar to the Gi-Lard-DO. I would be shocked to hear that it isn't built on the same chassis.

I read somewhere, waaay back when, that all Lambo's were meant to "Go Like The Wind" and thus all of the model names where named after a "Wind".
btw a 2nd Grand Unvailing will be at the University of Washington, where the composite materials were developed for this car.
I've never heard that particular explanation before now. I've only heard/read about 'em being named after bulls. For instance:

All sorts of something good to eat are coming from Lamborghini, starting with a Murcielago subsitute. The name was at large believed to be a Jota though it turns out which it will most probably be called a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4. The name was suggested in a Murcielago replacement display held during Sant’Agata not long ago, divided from the prying ears of Informers.
The display took place with a little faithful Lamborghini clients present as well as a name choice has fallen to which of a important breed of fighting bulls. The Aventador is Informed to be a stylistic expansion upon the Gallardo, with some elements from the Reventon supercar judgment, as well.
It will have a 6.5-litre V12 engine with 700 hp, all-wheel drive as well as a seven-speed sequential gearbox. It will have the monocoque carbon chassis, shortening weight by about 230 kg with torsional acerbity up by about 70 percent. The opening figures tune really extraordinary: 0-100 in 2.9 seconds as well as the tip speed of 350 km/hr. More after a burst.
