Curious how the car performs on a road course with a Whipple or Pulley/Tune?
Is the low down torque still there, any lag?

I have the Whipple, I have not tracked it yet but will in Late October I hope. PLENTY of low torque and no lag that I have noticed yet. A much gentler rolling on of the throttle is a must though. Easy to put sideways.

ed sims tracks with his whipple
barongt - dave tracks with a super tune

I have had a pulley and tune for two days and I can vouch for Derry's observation. The power comes on low and only as fast as your foot demands. First gear turns DO require care (as I found out this morning). No lag.

Whipple on road course

There are lots of posts under Open tracks, etc that have great info on the Whipple on a road course. You'll have to do a search.

I'll just say that it works fine but is overkill. Maybe the 15 lb but it takes a lot of careful foot massage to keep it straight with the 19 lb that I have. I wouldn't have it any other way though.

On Oct 5 we'll have 6 GTs at Thunderhill in NorCal. 2 GTs will have 19 lb Whipples. Stay tuned for the after action report.

Thanks look forward to reading the report. Your right about the too much power I just got done with 3 days at Grattan and out of several corners with AWD and Pilot Sport Cup tires I was spinning all four! Spinning is loosing time!
