Yea, I did a ton of wreck, shark, dolphin, reef, etc. dives ..... just got bored. Going to Playa Del Carmen/Cozumel next week ..... maybe the spark will re-ignite. Ain't nuttin like the GT when it comes to excitement.

Watch out for the currents down there. The divemasters may not be as helpful as you're used to.

Hey...I'm a muff diver does that count?...lol..all kidding aside, I was born into a family of 3 generation hard hat divers. I spent a lot of time with my dad when I was a kid, and watched and learned how it is done...and also how dangerous it can be........after my dad got the bends.. although I love the ocean..diving was not my love anymore........

Good luck you guys that dive....and be careful..

My best friends dad, who was like a father to me as well, lost his life cave diving. He broke 1 of the 6 basic rules after literally over 1000 logged dives, some over 600ft deep, some over 24 hours (wakulla exploration project), some over 5 miles back in a cave system (mapping peacock springs), and 15 years of being a full cave instructor.

He died around 60ft deep and less than 1000ft back in the cave on a recreational dive after work one afternoon, so nothing scares me more than seeing someone untrained going into one, since all it takes is one stupid mistake. :frown

Now the up side to that, if there is one, is that he can honestly say he was enjoying himself up until the minute of his death. I hope I can be that lucky when my time comes! :thumbsup
