My recall notice had a picture of a Heritage so they must be tied in with the VIN number.

Does anyone have a contact at Ford Customer Relationship Center (866-436-4332)?
I have not received a Recall Letter in 6 years.
When I call the Center the Rep says they have my correct address; but, use the CA DMV to send out the recall letters. I should have CA DMV double check my address.
I called CA DMV and they have my correct address.
I have lived in same address for 6 years; and have had this circular conversation with Ford & CA-DMV over last 2yrs.
Would help to have this corrected...

My driver-side was redone in 09/16.
Does that mean updated Drivers-side air-bag not yet available in my region (SoCal)?

No, it means you have no outstanding driver side recall. There were two - the first was a re-issue of the original component, but you get a new lease on life as it reset the corrosion clock. The second recall was/is the final version. If it's not active, you're clean.
The parts are available everywhere. The driver and passenger side components are also used in the S197 Mustangs (2006) so ought to be plentiful. Call your dealer and have them order it but they may already have it in stock. I had both sides done at the same time and my dealer had to order them in (but I think it was from his store on the other side of town which seems to have a bigger parts dept) and I got them installed the next week (my scheduling, not theirs).

I finally had the passenger air bag actuator replaced last Thursday. I have gotten probably several dozen notices of the recall over the past couple of years. Quite a few of them have a GT on them, but I don't think they were targeted by car color - I got the same "You complete me" notice with a black/white car but my car is red. I do assume that only GT owners got notices with GTs on them, though. Why send a notice with a GT on it to a Focus owner?

My last notice said they would give me a free loaner car. If I had not had the bags replaced, I think the next envelope would contain a check.
