Glad this site has so much info!

Drove my GT for 40 miles yesterday.

For the first time, left it in neutral an walked around car to check out lights on.

At the back transaxle I noticed a "rotary" souding clatter ...not random, or banging, or pinging. Somewhat aeuronatuical.

First reaction is what the hell is that?

Then memoray banks kick and remember someone saying "these racing transaxles/gearboxes" all have this.

Sure enough i log on and its called "neutral gear rollover".

Nice to have this site.

ps, made the supercharger shriek for the first time

That "shriek" will become your favorite sound in the world!

I took mine for a cruise yesterday as well. As soon as I hit the highway, the seas parted the sun began to shine (and the Porsches went into hiding)... all was right with the world.

Hi Fubar!

I took mine out yesterday as well. I had a hard time turning it back towards the home garage. Was a great time and a fun drive!

But watch out for those chipped, modifed and tuned 996 Twin Turbos! :wink

Just kidding you of course! My TT is highly modifed, but I've never had it dynoed. Nor have I dynoed the stock GT.

However, the "butt" dyno would tell me they're pretty close. It would be interesting, that is if the driver, me, could drive either one of them to their capibilities, which I'm sure I can't.

But I have to say. Everytime I head out to take a ride, and I see the two of them sitting there, the gray car's been the one getting the nod. The GT is great!

I just had to harrass you a little, as I'm sure there some other Porsche lovers here as well.

Have a great day!

Hey Fubar:

If you feel like a nice "cool air" night drive you might want to avoid Geo. Bush (hwy 190) OOOH say between the Tollway and hwy 78 for a few days, Sat. night had my new, White , mistress out for her first good run. I think Plano, Dallas, Garland PDs and the NTTA are still looking for the "perp." that left those two 12 mile black stripes on their nice clean road.

By the way if plano has a mandatory jail time for exhibiton of speed I may be needing that bail bonds number ( u-know just in case.)
