After nearly 15 years in the making, I finally own a Ford GT

How many miles are you up to now? I remember the car was at like 3,811 or so. I'm still sitting on 8 miles driven as Mark has had the car over 5 weeks now.

Just climbed over 4200 on this morning‘s drive. The fuel mileage is poor. Just had to put another tankful in again. I love the WHOOSH of the supercharger. Could not be any happier. Loving the new tires too.

Tell Mark to hurry up...!!

I just took a 20 minute drive in the Diablo....only around the neighborhood, as I think anywhere outside is really iffey right now. Did go into 2nd gear once....wait, wasn't that a Sammy Hagar song? I can't drive 25 or something?

Hard to blame Mark.....hard to get parts, and they are doing work sharing to limit the number of guys in the shop.

I never doubled back and added any pictures. Here’s a couple glamour shots that my detailer and PPF installer had done.

Ooops! I guess I don’t know the right way to post pics. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Here she is parked next to her new stablemate. To me, that’s the perfect “end of an“ American supercar combo. (Btw, I figured out how to properly post pictures).

Snug as a bug in a rug.. (y)

Great pair (y) 🍻

Nice combo!

I'm really happy to see a Fcar/Lambo owner appreciate those two American Icons.
Although I don't own Fcar or Lambo, I do have a '15 Superformance Cobra built by Dennis Olthoff in Mt. Ulla NC.

Love your Cobra. I like “end of era” type cars. My idea of perfection is the last/best example in a certain genre. The 05/06 Ford GT is automotive perfection, never to be duplicate. The Viper ACR is last/best version of a brutish, uniquely American mashup of old school muscle and new school track weapon. The 812, is the last/best Ferrari V12 SuperGT (although a VS version is due to be revealed shortly). The Performante is the last/best version of the Huracan. Ferrari And Lamborghini both will be changed forever by the silly regulations enforcing controls on emissions, fuel mileage, and sound. Here’s a pic of the Italian‘s:

The fuel mileage is poor.
Curious...I just put 750 miles on mine this past weekend and got 24mpg (highway).

Perhaps my driving style is little more...aggressive?
