I am looking for new wheels for white blue stripe gt. Any ideas. I have the original tires and rims still. Any pictures or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I've always been pretty high on HRE's which just happen to be shown on a blue/white car (not mine BTW). I really like the look of the 19"/20" combo; not sure about the performance though (heavier wheel?). I must add that this is not my car; HRE sent these these photos to me when I was shopping for wheels.

Are those 19/20? They sure look like the BBS wheel and now in comparison are a bargain.

Bargain, how much are they compared to the BBS wheels?

The last set of custom built 19x11" HRE's I bought were $1100 a piece. I am sure they have gone up but I doubt they are in the reported $7-10K range for the BBS replacements.

FRPP does not have any (call them, you will find out). I would buy 5 sets today at that price if they could be had. Ford Racing can no longer sale the wheels. Its a FORD parts product only now and dealer cost on a set of BBS wheels is near $7k. Retail is $10k.

HRE wheels for a Ford GT are gonna run $6k to $8k easy. I have had several sets. We are also an HRE dealer, so if there is anything "HRE" you are interested in, give me a call 870-931-8004

Sheesh, everything is going up! I better not FUBAR my factory wheels. :bored

There are several sweet rim companies out there. I am a huge fan of HRE's for multiple cars. But given the somewhat limited available for GT sizes...i wanted something that not most had...so I researched and found a company called SAVINI (www.saviniforged.com).

You can get a really custom look by having color in various areas of the wheel. I opted for a simple black center with chrome lip originally when the gal was all black. I can't have those "Disco Rims" (Camilo coined term) on the new Orange "race look" - so I powder coated the OEM BBS's matte black.

SAVINI is now in the process of making some matte black with minimal orange accent rims for non-track use (a little more towards "Disco"). =)

Below is the pic of the SAVINI's when the GT was all black.

Here is another set of HRE wheels. 20'' all the way around.

On those 20's definitely need a 1" drop, looks way to large a gap as is

I assume you are refering to my picture. She is already dropped one and three quater inch {Penskys} and even though the wheels and tires are 20" the over all hight is almost the same as stock because there is less side wall on them now. The tires are Michelin Pilot sports 255/30-ZR-20 front 335/30-ZR-20 rear

Lorenzo,

I think your car looks plenty low... very cool choice of wheels...!

Or have a look at etabeta wheels like the Geiger Ford GT

I believe they are made in Italy.

Loving the green GT! Wish we could get a pic together with mine.
