Advice,engine light came on.


Light still does not go off. Did find out a new problem...when I fill it up, the guage only reads 3/4 full. That sucks, anyone else have this problem?

My car was very hard to fill up, and it ended up being the cracked filler neck issue. It got fixed, and now is easy to fill up, and no more gas smell which I had been getting after fillup.
 
Further update: I took the car in to a place that had a Snapon OBD reader. Here is what it said: PO430 Catalyst Efficiency Low bank #2. Any body know for sure what this means? Good news is I had him clear it and it has not come back so far. Did a few strong pulls, not crazy, but strong and the check engine light has not come back on so far. Does this code relate to the catalytic converter or 02 sensor?

Haven't been able to resolve gas guage issue. Battery is fully charged, and the flapper on the fill tube seems to be operating fine.

Noticed when I run the a/c I get a clicking noise about every eight seconds. Air seems to blow cool enough. Anyone else experienced this?

This car is a riot to drive. I'm getting complete strangers coming up to ask if it is real. I'm not sure what they mean by this, but I just say "yup it is".

Just checking again to see if anyone knows for sure what code PO430 catalyst low bank #2 means. Maybe it means Pissed Off Ferrari F430 when he sees my taillights:biggrin ? After reset, engine light has stayed off so far for about ten miles of in town driving.

Thanks, that is great info. I'll bet the O2 sensor got overwhelmed when I was under hard accelration. As mentioned we reset the fault, and it has not come back on yet. If it lights up again, it will be time to get it checked out by a dealer.
