Added Ford Racing Headers, Muffler & Supercharger Pulley...it's like a different car!
I recently made some modifications to my 2006 Ford GT.
Some time last year, I began to want to do some improvements to my 2006 Ford GT to make it perform a little better, but also to make it sound louder and more aggressive.
I wanted to stay with genuine Ford parts and have any modifications be reversible, so after doing quite a bit of research on the internet, and especially on the Ford GT forum site, I settled on doing the following:
Ford Racing Headers M-9430-GT: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?
Ford Racing Muffler M-5230-GT: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fms-m-5230-gt?seid=srese1&gclid=CPbI_JO9lr8CFe4F7Aodsi0A3w
Ford Racing Supercharger Pulley M-2005-GT: http://www.fordracingpartsdirect.com/Ford_GT_Pulley_Upgrade_s/42.htm
I had the headers and muffler ceramic coated by Jet-Hot in Oklahoma City in order to keep engine-bay temperatures down, and keep the heat inside the pipes to increase exhaust-gas flows. See: http://www.jet-hot.com/coatings/premium-colors/
To find someone whom I could trust to do the install, I “interviewed” three very reputable and qualified shops to do the work, and become most comfortable with Dallas Mustang, who had already worked on many Ford GTs, and a HUGE number of Shelby Mustangs and other cars with similar mechanicals.
The install was completed on 30-October-2014…just in time for Halloween, which is appropriate because the car is scary fast!
I’ve attached a few pictures and a video link posted on YouTube by Dallas Mustang:
