Costco usually buys very good quality product, as they pride themselves on perfect customer service. While the Danmar lift may be less expensive than say, a Pro Park, which I happen to own, it's unlikely that it is "Chinese made junk". It may be Chinese made, but I'd bet quality is excellent. In any case, because it's Costco, you can return it to them, at their expense, anytime through it's life, if you're unhappy, no questions asked. I looked at the Danmar while shopping for a lift, but went with the Pro Park instead, only because the Pro Park has greater a greater rise and additional safety locks. Price wasn't far off between the two either.
Interesting the way Babco pisses all over the Pro Park. Sounds more like some sort of battle between Directlift and Babco to me...like a vengence war. Very unprofessional too.
This is what is written on the Babco site --
"Although we’d like to say that both candidates have their strong points, our comparison proves it’s a little more than one-sided. Let’s face it, the Direct Lift’s best selling point is price--and even there the discount is not worth what you’re losing. Price is what you pay for a product or service; cost is what you pay over the lifetime of the product. We’re proud to say that BendPak is not only the car lift global leader, but the support and service global leader as well."
Nothing more than a pissing match - I wouldn't buy shit from these guys...Good that I didn't buy the Danmar - since it's from them.
If the only way you can sell something is by pissing over someone else's product...you shouldn't be selling.
