E. German Trabant 601 De-Luxe
Fun facts:
23 hp, air cooled, 2 cylinder, 2 cycle engine
Gas gauge is a dip stick.
Car changed little in 26 years of production (1964-1990)
All 601 trabants came with a trailer hitch
Average wait from time of order until delivery……10–15 YEARS!

Same thing happened at local Barrington, IL show last week. Took wifey and she was astounded at crowd my GT had while we walked around the show. A new ZR1 parked directly accross from my GT and folks were asking me about the GT while I talked with the Vette owner. My wife wants to be around the GT about as much as she wants a root canal, but she couldn't get over the response people had around the car.
