'13 SRT Viper Reveal @ SoHo
My take:
Overall, it great that the Viper is here to stay. Esp. with an upgraded interior, better a/c, tech, and ergonomics.
In person certain angles are better than others....
From side you definitely feel its an exotic, and has classic lines of maybe a Miura or Daytona coupe.
Head on the underlip of airdam is too extended and will surely get nicked or damaged.
The front lights seem a bit smaller scale for expanse of hood.
Straight ahead look is very similar to a Vette or even the '96 GTS Coupe.
From the back and 3/4 you feel like its more of new design and the duct work is much more pronounced and deep inset.
All in the fit/finish, gaps, tolerances, quality of seals, rubber, and attention to detail is much higher than previous Viper and very close to a GT. Granted its a car 7 years later and has benefited from drop in cost of technology and development.
One major issue is color. I hope this is not the only Red offered. Its subdued and doesnt pop like Viper Red of earlier cars.
